Hope Floats Swim Lesson Scholarships
Water safety education shouldn’t depend on family income. Through our partnership with Hope Floats Foundation, Little Fins Swim School connects Colorado Springs families with scholarship funding for swim lessons that teach essential water safety skills.
If cost has kept your child from learning to swim, this program exists to help. Hope Floats provides financial assistance so children throughout our community can access the same quality instruction, regardless of their family’s financial situation.
Need support? If cost is a barrier to swim lessons for your child, apply through Hope Floats Foundation. Awards are reviewed on a rolling basis and cover partial or full lesson costs.
Want to help? Your donation funds swim lessons for Colorado Springs children who couldn't otherwise afford them. Contributions go directly to Hope Floats Foundation's scholarship pool.
How Hope Floats Scholarships Work
Hope Floats Foundation is a national nonprofit focused on drowning prevention through swim education. They partner with swim schools like Little Fins to fund lessons for children whose families face financial barriers to enrollment. Hope Floats Foundation independently reviews and approves scholarship applications. Little Fins does not determine eligibility but coordinates lessons for approved families.
Here’s what the scholarship covers: partial or full funding for swim lessons at Little Fins, access to the same one-on-one instruction all our students receive, and lessons at either our Garden of the Gods or Union Boulevard location in heated indoor pools year-round.
The application process is straightforward. Families apply directly through Hope Floats Foundation’s website, where you’ll share basic information about your household
and why swim lessons matter for your child. Hope Floats reviews applications and coordinates directly with Little Fins to set up lessons for approved families.
Scholarship recipients receive the same quality instruction as every Little Fins student. Your child works one-on-one with a trained instructor who adapts lessons to their comfort level and learning pace, building real water safety skills in a supportive environment.

Supporting the Hope Floats Mission
Community support makes these scholarships possible. Hope Floats Foundation raises funds through individual donors, business partnerships, and foundation grants from organizations that prioritize child safety and drowning prevention.
If you’d like to contribute to swim lesson scholarships for Colorado Springs children, you can donate directly through Hope Floats Foundation. Every contribution helps another family access swim instruction they couldn’t otherwise afford.
Little Fins also participates in scholarship fundraising through community events and donation campaigns throughout the year. Round-up donations, special events, and direct contributions all support local families seeking assistance.
