Swim for a Cure happened at Little Fins Swim School on October 4, 2023. After a month of raising money through our “Give Cancer the Boot” campaign, we pledged to donate a portion of every lesson to the fundraiser on October 4th.

It was a huge success. Little Fins instructors taught 94 lessons on that Wednesday. With a portion of each lesson and the money raised in the Give Cancer the Boot (pink rain boots), we raised $1,050!

Little Fins initially announced that we would split this between Ms. Deana and the charity of her choice, The Becky Baker Foundation, but Little Fins has instead decided to MATCH your donations!

Ms. Deana will receive $1,050 and The Becky Baker Foundation will also receive $1,050 on behalf of all the little swimmers and families who supported this fundraiser!

We love and appreciate our Little Fins community so much. Thank you to every one who put their dollars and pennies in the boots at both locations. Ms. Deana says, “This means the world to me. All of your love and support has been incredible through this fight. I am happy to announce that my screenings came back CANCER FREE, and I am not officially a survivor! I have a long road of recovery, but can’t thank you all enough for your donations and kindness to me and my family during this time.”
