Every month, Little Fins Swim School celebrates one team member who goes above and beyond for our swimmers, families, and mission. These are our Wave Makers. They show up, step up, and make an impact far beyond their job description.
This month, we are thrilled to celebrate Ms. Kim as our October Wave Maker of the Month!
Kim has been on fire lately, both on deck and in the pool. In fact, it’s hard to find a corner of Little Fins she hasn’t touched this fall.
Why Ms. Kim Is Our Wave Maker of the Month
Kim wears a lot of hats at Little Fins. She is our scholarship coordinator. She is also the number one member of our BDC enrollment team. On top of that, she has been helping with admin work. And whenever she can, she jumps in the pool to sub.
That is a lot to carry. Yet Kim takes on every role with energy, care, and a whole lot of heart.
Taking Our Scholarship Program to New Heights
As our scholarship coordinator, Kim plays a big role in our mission. For some families, cost is the biggest barrier to swim lessons. Through Hope Floats, our swim scholarships help remove that barrier.
Kim has taken our scholarship program to new heights. Because of her work, more children have the chance to build life-saving water safety skills. Most importantly, she never forgets that every scholarship represents a real child and a real family.
Heart and Soul Behind Hope on the Rocks

Hope on the Rocks just wrapped up, and Kim deserves HUGE praise for her part in it. She worked tirelessly on our silent auction. Events like this take countless hours behind the scenes. Kim gave those hours, and she put her heart and soul into every one of them.
This is what makes her story so special. Kim helps raise the funds that support swim scholarships. Then, as scholarship coordinator, she helps put those funds to work for local families. Her impact comes full circle.
Showing Up Wherever She’s Needed
Meanwhile, Kim keeps the rest of Little Fins moving too. As our top BDC enrollment team member, she helps more families start their water safety journey with us. Additionally, she supports our admin team and subs in the pool whenever her schedule allows.
She doesn’t wait to be asked. Instead, she sees what needs to be done and jumps in.
Living Our Core Values
Kim’s work this season reflects several of the Little Fins Core Values.
People Over Profits. Kim’s scholarship work is all about access. She helps make sure a family’s budget doesn’t decide whether their child learns to swim.
Follow Through & Over Deliver. Scholarships, sales, admin, subbing, and a major fundraising event. Kim took on all of it and kept showing up.
Think Bigger, Act Bolder. Kim didn’t just keep our scholarship program running. She grew it.
Lead with Love. Above all, Kim cares deeply. You can see it in how she treats our families, our swimmers, and our team. Fittingly, her very first day at Little Fins was Valentine’s Day 2022.
Making Waves for Water Safety
At Little Fins, we save lives through water safety education and world-class swim instruction. Kim lives that mission every day. Every scholarship she coordinates and every hour she gave to Hope on the Rocks moves us closer to a community where more children are safe around water.
Thank You, Kim!
Kim, thank you for everything you pour into Little Fins. We see the long days, the extra hats, and the heart you bring to all of it. Our swimmers, families, and team are better because of you. We are so proud to name you our October Wave Maker of the Month. Keep making waves!
